Overview
National Oilwell Varco Subsea Production Systems (NOV SPS) specializes in designing and manufacturing flexible pipes and innovative products for the offshore oil and gas industry. Utilizing cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing technology, we form long-term partnerships with global contractors and oil companies.
Engineering & Technology and Testing Department: Flexible pipes are designed to endure up to 30 years in harsh offshore environments. As part of product development, full-scale tests are conducted at our Brøndby and Kalundborg facilities to qualify products and validate methodologies. Our team consists of 15 Engineers and Designers located in Brøndby, Denmark, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Role: Engineer – End Fitting R&D As an Engineer in End Fitting R&D, you will support the Engineering & Technology and New Product Development teams by enhancing, consolidating, and developing new solutions for Flexible Pipe End-fittings. You will be the primary point of contact for ERD on assigned projects, reporting to the Manager of ERD. Collaboration with engineering teams, test facilities, and factories is essential.
The responsibilities are:
- The tasks handled following the development structure from API 17N/Q and DNVGL-RP-A203, respecting the Technology Redness Levels.
- Analytical and Finite Element modelling.
- Qualification Basis.
- Technology and Thread Assessment.
- Qualification Plan, Design report, Technical Specification, Test specifications.
- Dissection follow-up, Dissection report.
- Focus on HSE behaviour.
- Travel as and when required.
Who are you?
- You hold Master’s in Mechanical, Civil or Material engineering with a solid mechanics knowledge.
- +3 years of experience in Finite Element modelling.
