Student Assistant, Regulatory Reporting

About the role
We are looking to hire a skilled Student Assistant to join our Regulatory Reporting Analysis team in Copenhagen, focusing on maintaining our data foundation and implementing regulatory reports. As we continue our expansion, our regulatory reporting capabilities are critical to ensuring compliance and supporting our ambitious growth.

In this role, you will perform data mapping for regulatory reporting purposes and maintain queries in the data build tool (dbt).

The role on offer is for 15-20 hours per week, and we will of course be flexible around exam periods.

What you will be doing

• Map data from various source systems to our regulatory reporting data model, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain and enhance SQL-based queries in dbt to support regulatory reporting needs.
• Assist in maintaining the regulatory reporting data model to accommodate evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with regulatory reporting specialists to translate reporting requirements into technical specifications for data engineers.
• Conduct testing and validation of data models and reporting solutions as part of the maintenance process.
• Support debugging and troubleshooting processes for existing reporting solutions.

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to be an ambitious student studying for a relevant degree in fields like finance, economics, or another related discipline.

You are proficient with or have a keen interest in data manipulation tools like SQL and/or Python DataFrames for analyzing and transforming data. Experience with dbt, regulatory frameworks, reporting requirements as well as reporting tools like Power BI is an advantage.

You possess strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with regulatory reporting specialists, data engineers, and other stakeholders. With a strong analytical mindset, you are able to navigate complex data structures and flows within the organization.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English.
