We are looking for Experienced Mechanical Engineers to strengthen our Mechanical Department in Asker. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations, electrification and renewable projects.
About the position
Aibel's Mechanical Engineers are responsible for mechanical design in Concepts and Studies, and act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) in various FEED and EPC projects. Also, you will have the opportunity to take on the role of Discipline Lead in projects while holding this position. As a Discipline Lead in Aibel, you will providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers within the discipline, ensuring that the design and engineering work meet project requirements and industry standards.
This role is crucial to our projects and demands a comprehensive, multidisciplinary skill set and excellent coordination abilities. Join us and play a central role in delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions!
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Conduct studies, design, and assess mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and technical teams.
- Inspect and witness testing of equipment packages.
- Oversee package installation, mechanical completion, and commissioning.
- Ensure timely equipment delivery and documentation completion.
Qualifications
- Minimum BSc in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Minimum 10 years relevant working experience
- Experienced with multidisciplinary engineering
- Familiar with NORSOK and Norwegian acts and regulations
- Proven track record in conceptual and detailed engineering for large-scale projects.
