About the role

Are you passionate about building globally scaled architecture, focusing on data ingestion, integration, and transformation across multi-cloud environments? If you're driven to empower management reporting with granular performance insights using powerful cloud compute and storage resources, while working with diverse upstream platforms and building our own, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for a Platform Product Owner for Business Intelligence under our centrally placed Finance PACR and Operations group. In this role, you'll be an organizational change leader and a champion for data-driven innovation and technical advancements that will lay the foundation for our division’s data product development.

As the Product Owner for Data Integrations, you’ll be responsible for leading the technical information gathering process from upstream system platforms, engaging early on for connection and integration. You’ll explore sample data for transformation processes, showcasing your expertise in orchestration and modeling. Mastery in multiple SQL dialects will empower you to build prototypes for our core data layer and BI/AI data products, while developing professional specifications for both upstream and downstream needs.

  • Develop and maintain standardized, scalable data solutions.
  • Act as the data structure subject matter expert, mentoring both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Engage with data ingestion pipelines, including batch transfer and event-based frameworks for cloud-to-cloud connections.
  • Create reusable frameworks for data discovery, integration, and prototyping.
  • Clean, explore, and curate raw system data, performing complex joins across disparate feeds.
  • Model core layer datasets for broad consumption within the data product portfolio.
  • Contribute to development operations within a shared team platform.
  • Ensure deployment to our in-house Azure Data Cloud meets precise technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with business and product leaders to understand requirements and devise strategy.
  • Manage priorities and communicate expectations effectively to department heads and executives.
  • Work alongside Enterprise Architecture leaders to manage interdependencies and ensure best practices are followed.

What are we looking for

You’re a proactive person, passionate about learning and improving. You leverage your curiosity to understand business operations and the factors driving the development of profitable growth products. You excel at communication, collaboration, and vision, helping transform the organization from basic technical finance into a predictive, AI/ML-driven powerhouse.

  • Experience: 6-8 years in designing high-performance enterprise cloud data warehouses and/or data products, with expertise in building data lakes and creating reusable frameworks for data engineering.
  • Multi-cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud ecosystems (Azure, GCP, AWS, SAC) with essential experience on Azure.
  • Big Data Ecosystem: Familiarity with data lakes, lake houses, data mesh, and other big data structures, including real-time and batch data. Experience with tools like Spark, Python, Kafka, Hadoop, Data Factory, Databricks, and common third-party integration tools is essential.
  • Proven Experience: Significant experience in data extraction projects involving major Financial, Order Handling, SCM, Sales, or Service Management systems.
  • SQL Skills: Advanced SQL-based data modeling skills that set you apart in speed and efficiency.
  • Agility and Automation: Passion for standardization, automation, agile development, lean startup principles, and continuous delivery. Commitment to minimizing total cost of ownership.
  • Risk Management: Skilled at anticipating and mitigating risks, clearly articulating options and impacts before taking action. Quick to course-correct when necessary.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand business goals, turn data into insights, and translate requirements into actionable analyses.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork, issue resolution, and stakeholder management. Capable of presenting technical concepts clearly to senior leaders and executives.
  • Leadership Style: Lead with curiosity, owning, innovating, and re-evaluating with a solution-focused mindset.
