About the position
As Development Engineer in Chemistry within the Organic Material Development group, within the PMT Division, you will be responsible for developing organic materials needed for developing and improving metal powder. Organic materials such as polymers, fatty acid derivates, binders and solvents are examples of materials included in the development. You will work in a small and competent team.
The main tasks of this position are to:
- drive, plan, execute and follow up assignments, pre-studies and development projects that run locally and globally in accordance with the goals of the section and PMT Division
- development and innovation of organic materials and its processes
- analyze and document experimental trials and summarizing the results in technical R&D reports and presentations.
The position is a permanent position located at Höganäs in Höganäs, Sweden.
Business trips and travel will occur in the position.
Your profile
You have an engineering/science educational background, MSc or relevant university degree in Chemistry. Preferably in organic chemistry. You have no less than 3 years of industrial development experience, knowledge in different analyze techniques, such as thermal analysis, rheology and FT-IR. You are an innovative and result-oriented team player, well organized with experimental work and planning skills who enjoy working both independently and in teams. Problem solving and analytical thinking is considered valuable in this position.
If you have leadership skills and experience of working as a project manager or similar, it will be regarded as merit but it’s not a necessity.
You have excellent ability to communicate in an international setting. You are fluent in English, both in written and spoken language. It is a merit if you have language skills in Swedish, but it can also be taught at work. Höganäs AB can even provide classes in the Swedish language so international applicants are more than welcome.
Basic material science knowledge is of course considered as a merit.
