We are looking for experienced layout engineers to strengthen our EITA layout team in Asker. As a layout engineer, you will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), electrification and other industry projects.

About the position
Aibel's EITA layout engineers are responsible for designing solutions for electrical, instrumentation, telecom and automation systems across all project phases, from concept and study to detailed design. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities and tasks include
Depending on project, typical tasks will be:

• EITA Layout lead in projects
• Design equipment and solutions in 3D model using AVEVA E3D
• DRE (discipline responsible engineer) has coordination and area responsibility for EITA disciplines.
• Arrange and lead internal meetings, client meetings, workshops and reviews
• Interface internal, client, other disciplines and fabrication Yard
• Participation in development of solutions for digitalization of engineering data and engineering documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Technical College combined with minimum 4 years’ relevant background
• Minimum 4 years’ experience from EITA layout design in green field projects
• Experience and thorough knowledge of EITA layout design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNV and IEC
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with 3D tool AVEVA E3D

• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
