We are looking for Experienced Engineers to strengthen our Pipestress department. As a pipestress engineer, you will be responsible for conducting stress analysis of piping systems to ensure compliance with safety and design standards.
About the position
As aPiping Stress Engineer, you will play a key role in our design and engineering team, ensuring that piping systems are designed to withstand various stress factors in demanding environments. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and piping designers to ensure optimal technical quality.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Preparing detailed stress reports that document analysis results and recommendations
- Providing expert advice to piping designers to optimize design solutions
- Participating in both study phases (FEED) and detailed engineering phases (EPCI)
- Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure integrated solutions in complex projects
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Experience with FEED studies and EPCI projects
- Must have experience with layout and material handling in FEED studies or large projects
- Strong familiarity with international standards such as ASME B31.3 and NORSOK
- Proficiency in relevant analysis tools such as Caesar II and Aveva E3D
Personal qualities
- Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English
- Ability to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams
- Structured and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to different project phases
