Your role and responsibilities

Your responsibilities: The position as a Service Engineer consists of work on ABBs frequency converters at customer’s site – commissioning, fault tracing, upgrades, preventive maintenance, retrofits and repairs, phone support and on-duty call. Motion Service serves customers in all industries both onshore and offshore in Norway as well as abroad. You are the technical expert on site and help our customers maintain their equipment and maximize running time and production.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering/ Technical College, preferably complete with a certificate of apprenticeship.
- Relevant experience can compensate for lack of bachelor/technical college.
- Must be fluent in both written and verbal Norwegian and English.
- Ability to perform under pressure and short deadlines, and to keep good control of many tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to travel
- Knowledge of frequency converters will be considered a merit but is not a requirement. Experience from electrical installations and fault tracing is wished for.
