Your role and responsibilities
At Robotics Research & Development, we strive to provide our customers with the most technically advanced and innovative robot solutions, enhancing the customer experience. This project offers a unique opportunity to explore the capabilities, performance, and potential of using an AI language model to enhance the user assistance based on our robot manuals. The primary objective of this thesis is to create a sophisticated language model that leverages existing user manuals and a comprehensive terminology list to provide intuitive, context-aware assistance to users. By integrating advanced natural language processing (NLP) techniques, the model will enable users to query and retrieve precise information from technical documentation. Details: • Period: January-June 2025 • Number of credits: 15-30 ECTS • Number of students for this thesis work: 1-2 • Location: Finnslätten, Västerås on-site Expected Outcomes: • A pilot and an evaluation report with description and learnings • Recommendations for next step We expect you to do the thesis work independently while you excel in engagement, curiosity, and collaboration. You will have a dedicated supervisor to guide you and numerous opportunities to influence the direction of the project as you see fit. Qualifications for the role
- Master of Science in computer science or Bachelor of Science in Information Design
- Basic knowledge in LLM
- Basic knowledge in information design and/or usability
- Strong interest in AI language models
