Business Analyst

DBI - Dansk Brand- og sikringsteknisk Institut

Are you skilled at analyzing data and translating it into business-related insights for management? Then you might be our new analyst, who, using internal and external business data, will prepare analyses for management use.

We offer a job where, through your analyses, you will play a vital role in providing management with the best foundation for decision-making.

About the Position
Our new analyst will be part of the Strategy – Analysis – IT department, working within business data management and analysis. You will primarily focus on preparing business-related analyses for management, including customer engagement trends, and broader business analysis such as profit margin, productivity, efficiency, or performance analysis. Additionally, it is expected that you can independently come up with analyses relevant to management. The analyses will be based on both internal data from our systems, including BI systems, and external data. The job will involve quantitative analyses, with a focus on automating reports and building them in Power BI, excel or similar platforms. You’ll also be thinking about ways to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency through automation.

An Exciting Growth Opportunity
In this role, you will have the opportunity to help build and shape a new team focused on business data management and analysis. As you grow in the position, you will develop into a business partner, helping managers to better understand the data and use it to inform their decision-making processes. You will support them in identifying opportunities, solving problems, and driving business improvements by providing actionable insights based on thorough data analysis. Your role will be key in helping business leaders make data-driven decisions that align with the company’s strategic goals.

You Will Be Part of a Small Dynamic Team with Flexible Working Conditions
As part of our team, you will experience a collaborative and supportive environment. We value strong communication skills that enable seamless teamwork. We understand the importance of work-life balance and trust you to manage your own schedule, planning your working days in a way that aligns with both your professional responsibilities and personal needs. While enjoying this flexibility, maintaining team collaboration and meeting deadlines is crucial. Being a team player is essential, as we rely on clear communication and mutual support to achieve our goals, often stepping in to assist with various tasks as needed.

  • You take responsibility for the quality of your analyses and reports, are open in case you make any mistakes, and proactively seek solutions.
  • You enjoy presenting and discussing your results with both management and your immediate leader, ensuring transparency about any issues that may arise.

Additionally, you are:
