The position
Novo Nordisk is actively acquiring external assets to enhance its product portfolio. Many of these acquired products come with an externalized supply chain. To facilitate this process, as Acquisition Partner, you will work closely with internal teams to recommend and execute acquisitions as well as securing sourcing knowledge sitting with acquired asset is leveraged during integration for maximizing the value for Novo Nordisk.
Your key tasks include:
- Leading the process and delivering due diligence recommendations, evaluating commercial aspects for external supply chains
- Directly managing the initial integration from a sourcing perspective with an External supply responsibility until the asset is handed over to normal operation
- Communicating progress regularly to senior management and collaborating in functional teams for due diligence and risk identification, developing mitigation plans
- Securing initial contracts for commercial production and ensuring alignment with Supply Chain and category strategies
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across departments, managing relationships and educating on the acquisition process
- Communicating important acquisition update to C-level executives and other internal stakeholders
Your role also involves participating in the continuous development of our processes and systems, actively sharing best practices and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations.
You will be working in a global organization; hence you should expect up to 22 days of travel activities per year.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine you:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or another relevant field
- Possess hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or M&A within a global pharmaceutical or other GMP-regulated industry
- Demonstrate solid commercial background within outsourcing, coupled with transformation experience, process design, and change management
- Showcase strong interpersonal skills including the ability to set direction, negotiate, and navigate challenges
- Display fluency in both spoken and written English.
It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have project management experience.

About the department
Alliance, Acquisition & Product Portfolio Management is a Center of Excellence that covers both Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices and Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials & Services units. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international stakeholders and supplier networks, we ensure the availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world live with chronic diseases.
You will join the Acquisitions department and be surrounded by several experienced Category Managers, Negotiators, Sourcing professionals, and experienced leaders, allowing you to continue your development.
