The Competitive Intelligence department’s primary objective is to keep the business optimally informed on developments in the competitive landscape, support the sustainable growth of the company and ensure Ascendis Pharma remains agile and competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.
The Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager will play a critical role in Ascendis' success in Endocrinology Rare Disease area. He/she will be the driving force behind providing high-quality information, enabling informed decision-making across the company. By gathering, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights, he/she will propel the company’s growth. He/she will collaborate and interface with cross-functional key stakeholders and is expected to communicate in a clear and data-driven manner.
This right candidate will report to Director of Competitive Intelligence and become an integrated part of a very dedicated and experienced group consisting of senior leaders from Research&Product Development, Commercial, Medical Affairs and Project Management teams.
Your key responsibility will be:
- Lead competitive intelligence efforts by collecting, analyzing and disseminating information to create a unified understanding of the market landscape
- Conduct thorough analyses of competitors’ strategies, strengths and weaknesses, and closely monitor industry and market trends to understand the potential impact of environment changes on the business
- Act as strategic thought partner across different functions and teams, collaborate to plan and execute market research projects and deep dive analytics to support key business decisions
- Stay current on key publications (e.g., scientific literature, analyst reports, regulatory documents) and share findings with key stakeholders
- Contribute to special projects or operational initiatives as needed (e.g., patient advocacy collaboration, global reach planning, scenario planning and forecasting)
- Establish processes, structures, and templates to support Ascendis' growth (e.g., business case process, market landscape tracker)
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant university degree in the life sciences, preferably a PhD
Furthermore, you have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research and analysis from biotech, pharma or consultancy companies
- Additionally, your ability to synthesize complex information at both scientific and commercial levels and present it in a clear, actionable manner is crucial
- English at a professional level, both written and spoken, and you master MS Office
