We are seeking a passionate Senior Financial Controller to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma Finance team, you will have a leading role in our Transfer Pricing setup by monitoring/controlling, handling and optimizing the operating side in close cooperation with Tax and Finance Systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. In addition to this you will work closely with the team of Financial Controllers and Line of Business and play a crucial role in handling, controlling and optimizing our interaction with global Alliance Partners to ensure an efficient and compliant process.
You will be joining the Finance Operations team based in our headquarters in Hellerup. You will report directly Director Finance Operations who is also based in Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure compliance with Ascendis Transfer Pricing policy and process descriptions by maintaining and updating our operational transfer pricing model.
- Controlling of transactions in relation to transfer pricing framework.
- Responsible for group intercompany invoices in accordance with transfer pricing framework and operational procedures.
- Ensure controlling and invoicing of cost related to Alliance Partners in compliance with process descriptions.
- Contribute to optimization of financial processes related to Alliance Partners in cooperation with Business Finance.
- Employee cost/payroll bookings, controlling and notes for group entities as well as long term incentive program accounting (RSU and Warrants).
You will also work with and focus on
- Purchase order and accrual controlling
- Finance representative in relevant projects related to optimization or implementations
- Ensure Process descriptions on relevant areas updated and maintained
- Work to ensure one set of numbers and no surprises in overall accountancy
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a degree within Finance and have a minimum of 8-10 years financial controlling or accountancy experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international finance and accounting as well as good communication skills. You must enjoy working as a team in an international, dynamic and fast-growing environment.
Furthermore, you have:
- Strong analytical, process oriented and proactive problem-solving skills are critical to the role
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; extremely organized, detail-oriented, and mindful of deadlines and internal controls
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple functional areas in a collaborative, team environment in different time zones.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Knowledge about IFRS
