You will play a crucial part in building a new European team as desire to deliver best in class service, effective communication, cost awareness and continuous performance which supports our growth aspirations and the success of our customers within Project Logistics.
The position is located in Aarhus, Denmark.
Key responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, you will be a part of a team of 150 experienced colleagues in the Maersk Project Logistics product in Europe, where we strive to deliver the best service for our customers.
The position is newly established and require an entrepreneurial mindset with initial task of building on the team across Europe, but also globally selected areas.
Together with your new team you will play a key role in designing tailor-made logistics solutions and coordination of various projects for our customers as well as being part of our accelerated growth within our segment.
Your main responsibilities will, among others, be:
- Building a team with a European footprint from ground consisting of initial 6-8 employees.
- Coordination and planning of solutions for our customers via your team
- Operate and oversee project coordination and execution
- Leading the Continuous improvement towards our customers

The strong candidate has:
- Proven Leadership skills.
- Experience from building teams would be an advantage
- Experience from Out of gauge cargo execution is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written fluency in English
- A collaborative mindset with a “can do” attitude
- Eagerness to be best in class and part of a winning team
- Ability to be flexible when needed as our job is not always 8-16
- Ability to travel approx. 20-25 days a year
