About this opportunity
We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer or Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Payments data and reporting team. If you have a passion for application management and are excited about supporting our journey to the cloud, this could be the perfect role for you!
What you will be doing:
- Providing technical, administrative, and user support for applications.
- Managing troubleshooting, incident resolution, and problem management processes.
- Enhancing application performance and driving CI/CD automation initiatives.
- Deploying new releases and ensuring smooth release process.
- Proactively monitoring applications in the production environment.
As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be the technical expert for the assigned applications, responsible for resolving any technical issues in production. You will also offer guidance to the development team when new features are integrated into existing applications.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of applications to support all maintenance and operational processes. Application-specific training will be provided.
- Assessing the technical impact of incidents and prioritizing maintenance tasks accordingly.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to production deployment.
- Being available for occasional overtime work and on-call duties as needed.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Have an interest in payment processing.
- Are adept at managing shifting priorities and self-directing your workload.
- Possess a solid understanding of IT systems deployment and the use of monitoring and logging in critical production environments.
- Are skilled in incident handling and change management within popular frameworks.
- Have hands-on experience with configuring, managing and deploying applications using Kubernetes.
- Understand the importance of monitoring, logging, and alerting in IT services.
- Are familiar with infrastructure or middleware technologies such as SQL databases, Kafka, Hadoop, ansible, shell scripting, and have knowledge of automation and testing tools.
- Have experience in Application Support/DevOps in a Linux environment.
- Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Your experience and background:
- You have a formal degree in Information Technology or several years of equivalent work experience.
