You will join the global function IT & Digital Enablement (IT&DE) and be part of a team of 8 skilled Solution Architects working with and supporting the VELUX Sales and Marketing functions. These functions are highly important to deliver the VELUX strategy, which means they are areas of growth and development.
To be able to support and influence this journey, we are currently looking for someone to join the team in this newly established position of IT Business Analyst. This is an opportunity for you who have experience in the space between IT and business and who wants to continue your learning journey in a global, well-established company with the goal of continuous improvement.
What you will do
In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and IT capabilities acting as a key communicator, managing both business and IT stakeholders.
Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and understand business processes, value drivers and requirements and translating those into technology requirements and use cases. You will do this in close collaboration with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Project Managers, Data Analysts, and external consultants.
You will play an important part in the implementation of IT solutions and furthermore, you will work with analyzing and improving business processes for greater efficiency.
Your tasks will include to:
- Support the business product owners in defining and refining user stories
- Analyse and understand how business processes map to services and existing applications to identify areas for improvement
- Support and enable the solution architect and application specialists in developing detailed technical functional specification and solution design documents
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training to super users
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to maintain close relations and communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Support data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity during projects
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business analysis and technology
You will be part of a global organisation and will work from our head office in Hørsholm reporting to the Senior Manager of Sales, CIC & Marketing Digital Development. We work in a hybrid setup utilising available technology to work virtually, which gives the opportunity to work from home two days a week.
Who you are
We are looking for you who have at least two years of hands-on experience working with IT implementations in a role of e.g., IT Business Analyst, IT Consultant, or Application Specialist. This has provided you with experience in IT applications development and implementation, support or troubleshooting.
You have great analytical skills and solid business understanding which enables you to quickly understand different settings and business requirements and convert them into technical solution designs.
To be able to effectively engage with stakeholders in different functions and positions, it is required that you possess great interpersonal and communication skills and that you are fluent in English.
