The role of our designers is to create the next icon, based on intense cross functional collaboration and a deeply rooted interest in aesthetics, materials, technology and mega trends.
Key responsibilities
- Elevate Bang & Olufsen products to the next level of Luxury Timeless Technology.
- Participate in and transform customer insights into attractive physical opportunities.
- Oversee the creative process by building the narrative whilst bringing together the desires and requirement from your key stakeholders.
- Developing those requirements into a physical manifestation that is the ideal solution within sound and vision.
- Invent and develop new processes and opportunities together with our partners within our crafts disciplines such as aluminium, wood, fabrics as well as new materials such as glass etc.
- Assist our organisation in transitioning towards new breakthrough technologies where we can apply our design skills to deliver iconic and sustainable design solutions.
- Deliver exciting and understandable narratives to influence the decision process and eventually deliver marketing stories and visual product presentations.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams globally to ensure that our designs are delivered according to our design standards.
- Contribute constructively and creatively in the design team and cross-company teamwork sessions and workshops.
- Strive towards more sustainable solutions through repairability, exchangeability and refurbishment, thereby extending the lifecycle of our products.
What you bring
We are seeking an industrial designer with approximately 5 years of experience from an industrial designer position within the field of luxury, product design, consumer electronics, automotive, interior design or another relevant field. As a person, you have a positive mindset and effective collaboration skills, and you know how to reach optimal results through teamwork.
Moreover, you bring:
- A degree in Industrial design preferably at Master’s level
- Proven experience of creating compelling concepts and industrial designs and being able to share your ideas across multiple stakeholders, nationalities and departments
- Shown experience of the complete design process from early design exploration through to final product execution
- Advanced competence in 3D programs (Rhino, Blender, Alias, Grasshopper), Adobe Creative Suite and Keyshot
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Comprehensive collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Being able to work in a relatively complex environment, with several projects at the same time at different phase maturity and with multiple stakeholders
- Accountability – delivering on commitments
- Broad interest and understanding of aesthetics, materials and technology
- Fluency in English is mandatory

Our designers are placed at 2 locations in Denmark; either Struer office, Western Jutland, which is the main engineering site, or in our Lyngby office in the Copenhagen area, which primarily is our product management and communications site.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.
