We are looking for an experienced and proactive Electronic Engineer/Technician/Technologist. This role will enhance Schou’s ability to ensure that customer requirements/ needs are translated into technical specifications. This will happen during our product development/purchasing process, where testing, and customer satisfaction will be a focus point.
We need a senior person because:
You will work across departments, playing a pivotal role in lifting know-how, competences, and product quality. You will translate customer needs to technical requirements, helping to bring innovative, high-quality products to the market. Best practice and lessons learned will be a part of continuous improvements in products and processes.
You will hand on test products and build a new Physical Test Facility for Schou. The new Test Facility includes the actual building of the Laboratory from zero. This includes having the responsibility to; define equipment needs, purchasing of equipment, define the risk assessment process where test programs will be made, actual testing, and suggestions for improvements on product level.
This means you will have high influence of lifting Schou to next level, and you will have a very self-driven workday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to our teams, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and addressed (AQE role).
- Benchmark company products against competitors to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with development teams to document, test, and communicate product specifications.
- Identify and implement error-proofing opportunities through lab testing.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis on product claims to ensure accurate issue resolution.
- Establish a Physical Test Laboratory at Schou to support early-stage risk assessment and product testing.
- Mentor purchasing teams, hosting knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance their understanding of electronics and sound products.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in a development-focused role, with a strong foundation in electronics.
- Ability to translate customer needs (often non-technical) into actionable technical specifications.
- Able to perform laboratory testing and quality assurance practices.
- Strong documentation skills, ensuring clarity and accessibility across all organizational levels.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, with a focus on thorough root cause analysis.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, along with the ability to foster cross-cultural relationships.
- If you have knowledge or personal interest on understanding the technical needs on the Sound products, this is an advantage.
