The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Manager to lead our Needle Team within Device Development. The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility, as this role requires presence both with the team in Hjørring and with the department and management team in Hillerød.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Needle Team as the product owner for all globally launched needles used in our devices and combination products, ensuring smooth daily operations, clear prioritization, and continuous process optimization.
- Oversee a group of 5-7 experienced professionals based in Hjørring, fostering a positive team environment that supports development and maintains a high-quality mindset.
- Assume responsibility in this newly created management role for marketed needles, ensuring that product documentation complies with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and collaborate effectively across locations, coordinating with the team in Hjørring and the department and management team in Hillerød.
- Build strong partnerships with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment on team goals and product strategies.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you have:
- Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering (e.g., Engineering, Pharma, Chemistry) with strong business insight.
- Proven experience in people management, including virtual leadership and team oversight in a large organization.
- Excellent communication skills in Danish and English, ensuring transparent and effective team dialogue.
- Willingness to travel between Hjørring and Hillerød on a weekly or biweekly basis to support team.
- Strong collaboration, bridge-building abilities, and experience managing design control processes in GxP production or regulated industries.
- Knowledge with design control processes, GxP production from pharmaceutical settings or other regulated industry.
You are known for your positive mindset, flexibility, and persistence. You thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities, where you leverage your team’s skills, apply strong business understanding, and use a strategic approach to engage stakeholders effectively.
About the department
The position is in Device Development which is part of Novo Nordisk Finished Product Manufacturing Science & Technology (FPMSAT). Device Development holds the design responsibility for Novo Nordisk’s medical devices and delivery systems and is the link between Device R&D and production. In Device Development, the main task is to maintain marketed products as well as develop new variants of existing product platforms. Our deliverables have direct impact on our ability to deliver to the market, on patient safety, and on compliance with the requirements of the authorities. You will join the Cartridges and Needles Team in Device Development. You will be heading up the Needle team and be working alongside colleagues with various educations and work experience.
