We are looking for a passionate Global Technical Innovation Manager (f/m/d) for the Global Feminine Care category in Global Brand, Innovation and Sustainability (GBIS) business unit. This is a permanent role, located in Gothenburg with direct report to the Global Innovation Director.

About the Role

In this position you will contribute to the overall innovation strategy, develop & deliver innovative new solutions to better meet consumers needs in the Power & Health clusters. Work in a marketing / technical partnership to lead prioritized concepts through all stages of the innovation funnel from concept to launch which will be executed by the regional / local teams.

You will work in close cooperation with multiple key stakeholder (global innovation director, global brand director, R&D, manufacturing, consumer insights team and lead markets), to drive sales and brand growth and reach overall Essity targets.

What You Will Do

• Input into the overall innovation strategy & roadmap for Power & Health clusters.
• Discover, develop and evaluate new territories/new concepts that enables a balanced flow of activities entering the 8Qs launch plan.
• Based on consumer and customer insight run technical feasibility.
• Recommend product and solution innovations that build on key brand features & design and validate with key marketing communities.
• Propose Innovation project organization and resources.
• Act as project manager for relevant innovation projects through all stages of the Innovation funnel.
• Give input to strategic & innovation driven Capex.
• Secure alignment with R&D Core, Technology and Manufacturing (Suppliers).
• Support Business Unit growth and monitor cost saving initiatives vs innovation funnel.

Who You Are

• University Degree from a technical field or in science / business
• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in R&D/product development and/or innovation management. Preferably relevant experience in liquids & lotions development.
• Strong English speaking and writing skills, other languages are a plus (Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic).
• Ability to travel.

Furthermore you have an ability to influence and get buy-in of key stakeholders in a global matrix organization and effectively manage work across organizational boundaries to get things done in a collaborative way – high resilience and solution-oriented attitude. You can convert consumer needs & pain points into technical solutions and have a proven track record of igniting and delivering innovation led growth from idea to execution. You are an experienced project manager with a bias for action, who is able to manage cross-functional teams effectively, track multiple workstreams and adhere to deadlines.
