Team and Role
As Project Controller you will be responsible for handling controlling of projects from cradle to grave. In addition, you will be involved in several tasks within FP&A. You will also act as a sparring partner in relation to various stakeholders within Terma, for example our Project Managers.
In the role you will ensure that the projects in the portfolio you are managing are kept up-to-date, to ensure performance is correctly reflected on actuals and forecast, furthermore you have eyes for risk & opportunities relating to the projects. As project controller you need a “CFO” mindset and can tackle being the constructive sparring partner for the Project Managers. You will also work closely with our Finance Business Partner team to provide them with the project’s performance and insights.
Furthermore, you will participate in various projects within FP&A and Global Finance. For examples, you will be part of working with standardization, automation and reporting to establish and continue evolving a high level of processes, procedures and tools to enable higher performance to support the business performance.
FP&A is a newly established team; hence we are building the path together as a team. We are on the journey to becoming a high performing FP&A team. Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Project controlling from cradle to grave, including assuring updating orderbook, actuals are following guidelines and forecast is updated
- Act as project “CFO” in close collaboration with Project Managers and Finance Business Partners. Therefore, communication and stakeholder engagement are crucial
- Involved in various projects focusing on standardization and automation
- Being part of a newly established team, where you together with the remaining of the team will have high influence in the way we are working
Qualifications
The key qualifications include:
- You have solid experience within project controlling and discussing with project managers
- You have experience with standardization and automation of processes and procedures
- You have worked with reporting and preferably project reporting
- You are structured and attention to detail
Required education/degree:
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, within HD(R), Finance Consulting, Management Accounting or a similar field of study
Personal profile:
- You have a high drive and are energetic
- You are eager to learn and achieve results within the team
- You are ambitious and want to grow
- You find interest in diving into numbers and have flair for details - however you can also have a holistic view and apply the 80-20 rule
