Application Consultant, Business Intelligence

To improve we need the right strategy – and accurate business intelligence is the backbone of any business strategy. This is where your expertise comes into play.

You will join our 20 people strong BI team. We are truly a global team, which covers practically every time zone with members in Shanghai China, Singapore, Buenos Aires Argentina, Manilla The Philippines, and Bjerringbro Denmark.

Our team, consisting of specialists in a variety of fields, is the business intelligence kernel at the core of Grundfos. The data we extract and provide to the various departments and senior management provides the foundation for the most crucial business decisions.

What is the job about?
Your key objective is the extraction and modelling of data for use, in operating the strategizing reporting of Grundfos.

A big part of your day-to-day will also be supporting operations of our BI solutions and its users – whether an application is not functioning properly, or a colleague has trouble deciphering the data, you will step into the role of the expert.

Your main responsibilities:

• Mediating communications between the business-side of Grundfos and your own IT-team
• Ensuring scalability and performance of the developed solutions
• Managing the backlog of tickets within Business Intelligence
• Undertaking various ad hoc tasks, that pop up during the day.

Your background

We are not really looking for any specific educational background. If you have technical competencies or experience with data modelling, that is obviously great.

We imagine that you have:

• Trusted advisor in BI for the business area Finance
• We would expect BI-developer or -support experience.
• We would love to see prior experience with data modelling in BI
• We would like to see backend developer skills within SQL
• We are currently implementing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & Datasphere in our setup and knowledge in this area would be an advantage, or on the job training will take place
• English language proficiency, both in written and verbal communication, is a must-have requirement, and Danish proficiency would be an advantage, as this position is based either in Denmark or Manila.
