Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. In space, we are engaged in reaching new frontiers and enabling people on our planet to deal with new and upcoming challenges.
Therefore, we are currently looking for a Composites Senior Specialist to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.
Team and role
As Senior Specialist in the Materials & Processes Engineering department (M&P), you will be the technology owner of the composite manufacturing processes and materials. You ensure process and material compliance, quality, and optimization while working closely with a broad range of stakeholders.
This role combines hands-on expertise in advanced composite materials with strategic responsibilities in technical leadership and stakeholder management. However, we nurture and protect a culture that is respectful of personal life, e.g., working flexible hours ensuring a good work/life balance. This includes the possibility of working from home some days a week.
Success in this role will require a solid technical foundation, strong stakeholder management skills and leadership performance. Your work will carry significant responsibility and have a profound impact on civil security and military safety.

As the composite process owner, your primary responsibility will be to oversee our composite processes, including honeycomb core processing, ply-cutting and layup of composite prepreg material, vacuum debulking, adhesive bonding of honeycomb core and composite skin details, vacuum/pressure-assisted autoclave curing, mechanical assembly, mechanical materials testing, electrical bonding, and verification. Your key objectives will be to ensure that all processes comply with customer requirements and are optimized in terms of efficiency, cost, and technology.
In addition to the above, the key responsibilities include:
- Requirement management

You will play a key role within Terma Aerostructures A/S and will be a crucial resource for sustaining and developing our production of highly technological aircraft parts. This role will provide you with technical and organizational challenges, and we will support you in your continuous development of competencies.
Qualifications
- Technical education in engineering or science (e.g., process engineering, materials engineering/science, materials physics)
- Process engineering knowledge
- Understanding of material properties and -behavior under varying conditions
- Production or R&D experience in composite manufacturing
- Experience with requirements management
Required education/degree:
- As an ideal candidate for this position, you should possess a technical background and several years of experience in process and/or material engineering, specifically related to composites and composite manufacturing.
