We are looking for a Global Certification Specialist at ABB Oy, IEC LV Motors. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing global MEPS (Minimum Efficiency Performance Standard) requirement (regulations, standards etc.) ensuring the access of IEC LV motors to global markets as well as maintaining approvals, certificates and registrations in cooperation with the team, product management, R&D and other stakeholders. In this position, you will be involved in legislation, regulations, standards, authorities and certification bodies. The work model for the role is: hybrid ; #LI-Hybrid The role is contributing to the Motion / IEC LV Motors division globally. The ideal candidate is based in Finland or Europe. You will be mainly accountable for: • Following requirement and regulations for the MEPS globally and creating a roadmap for IEC LV Motors, registrations and approvals for IEC LV motors global product ranges. • Ensuring that required actions for the new product development and/or actions will be initiated well in time when any changes in then regulations and standards may happen. • Ensuring that required registrations for motors are valid and in place. • Following national, international standard and regulations related to electric motors. Qualifications for the role
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related position.
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of international standards (e.g. IEC, ISO), schemes and regulations (e.g. ATEX, IECEx, LVD) is a big advantage.
- Knowledge of electric motors, frequency converters, standards and basic understanding of the regulations like EU LVD, Ecodesign, etc. is a plus.
- Good communication, networking and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work together with different nationalities, both independently and as a part of a team.
- Good command of production control systems, (e.g. SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office).
- Fluent written and spoken English skills.
