The role
As Financial Controller, you are part of the Financial Control & Reporting team, that focus on proactive financial analysis and overseeing the financial reporting to ensure its’ accuracy, integrity, and compliance. As the main point of contact for stakeholders within the finance function, your collaborative skills and stakeholder management are integral to your personal success and the broader achievements of both the team and organization.
In your role, the key responsibilities and focus will be:
- Stakeholder collaboration & Communication: Build and sustain strong relationships and collaborative ways of working with stakeholders. Providing proactive communication, high-quality deliverables, and staying current with the business to anticipate and address emerging needs.
- Financial analysis & Quality assurance: Ensure the integrity and compliance of the financial reporting through detailed financial analysis and quality control, aligning all outputs with the internal control procedures, group policies, and regulatory standards.
- Process optimization & Continuous improvement: Drive improvements of financial control and reporting procedures to pursue increased efficiency, quality, and alignment with best practices, while embracing our culture of continuous learning and staying current with emerging regulations, trends, and technologies.
What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll need to possess at least some of the following:
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Service minded and a problem-solving attitude.
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements, GAAP and internal control.
- Have 3 years relevant work experience within financial control, auditing, accounting or similar.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree within Finance, Accounting or similar.
Not required but advantageous qualifications
In our pursuit of continuous improvements and increased levels of automation, we see it as a bonus if you have experience of working with:
- Power BI,
- Power Query,
- VBA, or similar.
