Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced process engineer to join our dedicated group of engineers in the PtX Concepts & Feasibility team.

We are working with proposals and development tasks within the entire Power-to-X product portfolio. The scope includes classic process technology design, skid mounted solutions and associated service products. The process development is concentrated around the SOEC electrolyzer unit and the integration with ammonia, methanol, SNG and fuels technologies.
You will work closely with Business Developers and engage frequently in client interaction. join conferences to promote Topsoe’ s products and support our Business Developers with your technical expertise.

The tasks and responsibilities of the role entail:

• General support to Business Developers in client meetings and for RFIs (questionnaires)
• Interacts with Business Developers and customers to understand the most important aspects of the proposal/study – what it takes to win
• Defines a winning proposal/study strategy together with relevant stakeholders (involving Product Expert if required) by ensuring the work is performed according to customer’s needs and that the tailored solutions are competitive, and the narrative is consistent with the proposal /study strategy. (Tell a tailored story why clients should choose Topsoe)
• Ensures proposals/studies are made according to the latest guidelines and using latest version of standard documents
• Ensures CA/NDA fits requested information
• Overall responsible for the technical proposal quality by reviewing the proposal information generated by others and setting performance guarantee in close cooperation with Product Experts
• Overall responsible for on-time delivery of proposals and studies
• Ensures new catalyst & technology developments from R&D are incorporated in collaboration with Product Experts
• Ensures that lessons are shared and incorporated in future proposals/studies in collaboration with Product Experts
• Stays observant of innovative solution that are relevant for development (i.e., gate systems) and takes action to ensure IP, when relevant, in collaboration with Product Experts
• Check IP risk (Freedom to operate) in relation to outgoing proposals.

What you’ll bring
We are looking for a motivated and creative person, who can drive progress as these are key elements to success in the role. Furthermore, the candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• A Process / Chemical engineering background
• Excellent technical skills in process design, conceptual development of tailored solutions
• Thinks outside the box and challenges process limits to facilitate improvement and increase competitiveness
• Experience from operation and start-up will be an advantage
• High customer focus
• Proactive advisor and very skilled at sharing learnings
• Good at anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Has a solid personal impact and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Excellent English language skills both verbal and written is a requirement.
