Production Controller

With a rapidly changing healthcare environment, subsequently leading to increased dynamics in Corporate Product Supply and Finance, we are looking for a new colleague to join our team in Poland.

The position
While working as Production Controller in Corporate Product Supply & Finance, Inventory and Product Costing team you will be responsible for standard cost calculation and production variance analysis, inventory closing activities as well as preparation of ad hoc analysis and insights on specific issues related with Product Supply Finance. You will also support senior stakeholders as their sparring partners by delivering impactful insights and presentations. The role ensures high exposure and visibility both in ALK globally and locally.

Main responsibilities
As Inventory and Product Costing team member, you will be working closely with our headquarters organization, especially with Global Finance, Line of Business, as well as Finance Business Partners of local affiliates. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting product costing and production variance analysis according to Global Finance procedures and timelines and propose changes in bill of materials to line of business.
• Financial controlling and month end closing of inventories and cost of goods sold for one of ALK production site.
• Global responsibility for CAPEX controlling, planning and reporting in cooperation with site business partners and project managers at different sites.
• Managing the closing process including collection and documentation of accruals in close cooperation with line of business and Finance Business Partner responsible for the site, follow-up and preparing root cause analysis on issues and explaining development in balances.
• Participate in corporate planning processes where you will be involved in analyzing the S&OPs impact on the financials.
• Supporting the year end closing process by delivering high quality material to group auditors.
• Preparation of ad-hoc analysis of cost developments and deep dives into specific products to create transparency in cost development.

Your qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business administration or economics.
• 2-5 years of experience from production controlling function in a production company.
• Experience with standard cost calculation and production variance analysis.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and BI tools working with large data sets.
• Understanding of IFRS, especially inventory valuation.
• Structured and analytical working style and attention to details and accuracy, as well as ability to deliver optimal services to internal customers.
• Strong communication skills who can communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Result driven and ambitions who takes responsibility and is ready for and can lead change.
• A team player with good communication skills and fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel.
