Naval Architecture Specialist

We seek a technically skilled professional, ideally with a maritime background, who can bridge the unique requirements of wind cargo and shipping logistics.

You will join Ultrabulk Wind Energy which is a new and dynamic segment within a leading global Dry Bulk organization, focused on safe and transparent sea transportation solutions of wind turbine components.

What you would be doing

• Design of standard vessels and ad-hoc vessels in a.o. AutoCad software systems
• Stowage planning
• Assessment of bedding, lashing and securing materials
• Weight spreading/bedding/stress calculations
• Lifting planning
• Line of sight calculation (LoS)
• Stability calculations
• Method statement

• Master’s degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience engaging with Owner, Flag, Class and documentation handling
• Experience with vessel and cargo design using AutoCad, seafastening, load spreading/bedding, and stability calculation software systems, Finite Element Method (FEM) modelling software systems a.o.
• A self-starter who proactively contributes with ideas and solutions
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent IT skills that allow you to quickly acquire new skills in these fields
• Fluent in oral and written English as this is our corporate language
