You’re a natural leader with a knack for solving complex technical challenges and inspiring a team. You bring expertise in analytics and data engineering, and you understand the importance of a data-driven culture. This role is pivotal to improving our data quality, enabling agile data accessibility, and meeting the analytical needs of a legacy-heavy environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and manage a team of 3 Data Engineers and 3 Data Analysts ACRO between Amsterdam and Aarhus.
- Provide mentorship and professional development support, ensuring team members grow their technical and analytical skills.
- Act as a point of escalation for technical and operational issues, especially concerning integrating legacy data platforms with modern solutions.
2. Data Engineering and Analytics Excellence
- Drive the development and execution of end-to-end data solutions that enable high-quality insights in our Unified Commerce framework.
- Support the team in technical scoping migration of critical data flows to RUNWAY.
3. Operational and Technical Execution
- Oversee the team’s day-to-day analytics and engineering activities, focusing on project delivery and optimization of processes.
- Ensure consistent data availability, quality, and governance to support analytics in a B2C Retail.
- Proactively address gaps in building capabilities for managing and scaling data processes.
4. Strategic Planning and Process Improvement
- Contribute to the strategic vision for B2C Analytics, identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions to meet business challenges.
- Champion initiatives for improved data accessibility, quality metrics, and reporting capabilities, aligning with commercial objectives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics and/or leadership roles.
- Proficiency with SQL and experience with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data warehousing, and working within legacy systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage distributed teams and foster cross-regional collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to balance strategic vision with day-to-day operational needs.
- Effective communicator, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
WORK LOCATION
Your primary workplace will be in Aarhus or Amsterdam.
