The Opportunity
At Worldline, our technology addresses persistent challenges of the payment world. We design and operate leading digital payment and transactional solutions that enable sustainable economic growth and reinforce trust and security in our societies. Axis is the leading in-store acceptance platform across Europe, it manages millions of payments each day. Our solution relies on payment server and terminal installed in our customer premises.We are launching a program to go from our proprietary OS based terminals software to Android based terminals. In this context, we are looking for a talented, motivated and ambitious Android Developer for our second Android development team. The purpose of the development team is to deliver multiple components that will sit in the service-oriented architecture of our new android payment application. The team will work alongside other teams that will contribute to the payment application
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality software that meets business requirements.
- Follow the design provided by lead / architect and implement efficient and reliable services based on the requirements provided by Product Owners
- Ensure to adheres to best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Develop and execute automated component QA
- Review and analyze test results to identify defects and track issues to resolution
- Collaborate with End-to-End QA team lead to ensure consistency and alignment across all testing efforts
- Focus on continuous improvement of quality and productivity
- Our teams are organized in Squads and Tribes in a context of Agile methodology based on SAFe framework
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- 3-8 years of experience in software development
- Strong experience with Android development, including Java and Kotlin programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies
- Experience with the Agile methodologies and the scrum framework (scrum master certification is a plus)
- Good English language skills (both verbal and written).
- You graduated with a master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in similar activities and technical fields
- Experience with micro services-oriented architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with card payments industry: Knowledge about payment (EMV/Nexo/…) is a strong plus
- Knowledge on Git is strongly appreciated
