The position
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee one or multiple projects depending on complexity and location and lead a project team consisting of specialists from different areas such as Manufacturing Development, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Regulatory.
These projects will be either related to new product introduction or expanding capacity for existing product and can involve the technical transfer to a Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) of a drug product, the preparation and execution of the Process Performance Qualification for a drug product, or the integration of robust processes for commercial production and supply chain into Novo Nordisk systems and processes.
Some of your key activities include:
- Defining and executing project strategy
- Utilizing traditional project management tools such as project plans, stakeholder management and communication, risk analysis, and project performance reporting
- Applying appropriate governance across all units involved
- Ensuring alignment and coordination between internal units, external partners, and established Novo Nordisk’s processes and production frameworks
- Fostering an engaged project team and satisfied stakeholders
This role requires frequent travel to partner CMOs within Europe or overseas, ranging from a few days to several weeks depending on project needs and CMO location.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we imagine you:
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or another relevant field
- Demonstrate practical experience in leading complex business projects within a large international organization or, alternatively, have already worked with CMOs
- Showcase good insight in pharmaceutical production, preferably with tech transfer and validation of pharmaceutical production processes
- Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to engage people, build trust in your relationships, and get commitment from internal and external stakeholders
- Display fluency in both spoken and written English
As a person, you have a high degree of emotional intelligence: you can easily establish close collaboration with stakeholders, both internally and externally, create a highly engaged team, and have effective governance on the projects. You also have excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills, which will enable you to continuously set direction, keep an overview of progress, and prioritize actions accordingly.
