REANNOUNCEMENT: Postdoc in Generalized Symmetries and Their Applications to Quantum Matter

The Centre for Quantum Mathematics (QM) at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) https://www.sdu.dk/en invites applications for a 2-year position as Postdoctoral Fellow in the group of Assistant Professor Apoorv Tiwari with possibility of extension.
We seek a postdoc with expertise in the field of generalized symmetries and their applications in quantum field theory and quantum lattice models. We also welcome candidates with an interest in applying generalized symmetry-based methods towards applications to quantum information theory and in particular topological quantum computing.
The targeted starting date of the position is 1 September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.
QM is located at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Science on the international campus in Odense, Denmark. QM is established with the ambition to create a highly international and interdisciplinary group within a broad spectrum of theoretical physics, mathematical physics and pure mathematics. Application, salary etc.
The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). Please check links for more information on salary (only available in Danish) and taxation.

- A curriculum vitae including information on previous employment
- Research plan – description of current and future research plans
- A full list of publications stating the scientific publications on which the applicant wishes to rely
- Copy of diplomas, (MSc and PhD) - Danish or English. The PhD degree must be obtained before the start of the position.
Shortlisting may be used in the assessment process.
Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will neither be considered nor evaluated.
Assessment
Shortlisting may be used. Shortlisted applicants will be assessed by an assessment committee. Applicants will be informed of their assessment by the Faculty of Science administration. As part of the overall assessment, the applicant may be called for interview.
