We offer
An interesting role where you will be the Senior Finance Manager for Marketing and play a pivotal role in partnering with our global marketing organization to drive financial performance and decision-making.
This role combines strategic financial leadership with people management responsibilities, as you will lead a team of two finance professionals. You will provide strategic insights, financial analysis, and support to senior stakeholders, ensuring that marketing investments are optimized to achieve business goals.
In this role you will join the Global Finance (GF) organization, located partly at our Head Office in Hørsholm and in our regional offices around Europe as well as the US.
The Global Finance transformation journey was kicked off this summer, which for the coming years will aim at optimizing the way we work as a finance organization to drive most value creation for VELUX.
Key responsibilities
You will be reporting directly to Senior Director, GF Sales and Marketing, be a key sparring partner to our EVP for Global Marketing, who sits in our Executive Management Team, as well as be part of the Global Marketing Leadership Team.
You will work closely together with the finance team in both head office and regions, as well as in close collaboration with the leadership team in marketing.
This means there we be a lot of opportunity to truly drive impact.
More specifically, your primary tasks will be to :
- Act as the key financial business partner to the Global Marketing team, providing insights and recommendations on budgets, forecasts, and investment decisions.
- Lead the financial planning, analysis, and reporting process for marketing, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Lead the continuous improvement of the marketing operating model between regional finance organization and the global finance organization
- Collaborate with cross-regional and global teams to secure clarity on financial processes, especially in relation to financial planning
- Support the development of business cases for marketing investments, ensuring a strong foundation for decision-making by evaluating financial risks, benefits, and ROI, while also following up on value realization
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of two finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Set clear goals, provide ongoing feedback, and support the professional growth of your team members.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other related field, combined with substantial experience from a similar role.
We picture you as having strong interest, a commercial mindset and experience within finance and performance management, coupled with an analytical mindset and the ability to build relationships and communicate with various stakeholders across the organisation.
You are passionate about making a difference and understand how to drive performance through insight, data-driven analysis, and strong cooperation with the rest of the business.
Furthermore, you:
- 8+ years of experience in finance/business partnering, ideally within a global organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for marketing or commercial functions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial insights to strategic goals.
- Take the initiative and are comfortable acting independently but within a strong collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in people management, including leading, coaching, and developing a team.
- Proficiency in developing and presenting robust business cases that enable informed decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting tools, and ERP systems (SAP).
