The Position
As Product Responsible, you will take ownership of one of our device platforms together with a team, driving excellence and effectiveness.
Some of your main tasks include:
- Driving post-launch activities for our products, adeptly balancing external market demands and internal requirements. Additionally, you should ensure effective problem-solving in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Providing support for development projects as the platform responsible, enabling a smooth and robust launch and continuous manufacturing of new products.
- Identifying and executing development, robustness or compliance initiatives related to mechanical design, requirements engineering, design verification, and safety risk management across a platform.
- Playing a key role in refining our day-to-day operations and driving forward process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- PhD or master’s degree in engineering, biomechanics, science, manufacturing, or a related field. Fresh graduate candidates will also be considered.
- Practical experience in compliance and documentation within a regulated industry, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, food, aviation, or automotive. Prior experience with Design Control or medical device development would be advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational skills, adept at managing both short- and long-term projects with a methodical approach.
- Strong networking and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to set clear direction, enhance performance, and maintain quality and efficiency.
- Fluent communication in both spoken and written English.
On a personal level, you thrive on being the go-to-person for product related decisions among stakeholders. You are skilled at challenging stakeholders and navigating complex scenarios to find impactful compromises. Whether in critical situations or long-term projects, you excel in independent work, leveraging expert colleagues for optimal outcomes. With a well-structured and systematic way of working, you aim to find simple and effective solutions within the complexity that surrounds medical device design control.
About the department
In the Device Development department, we are approximately 100 highly skilled curious professionals and specialists that share the responsibility of the marketed device designs and serves as the link between Device R&D and production. In Device Development, the core task is to maintain marketed products as well as develop new variants of existing product platforms. Our deliverables have direct impact on our ability to deliver to the market, on patient safety, and on compliance with the requirements of the authorities.
You will be part of a growing team of currently 12 colleagues who collectively share the ownership of a device platform and are dedicated to the well-being of patients.
