We are currently looking for an Associate to join the Go-to-Market strategy team in Investor Relations & Business Development in CIP’s HQ in Copenhagen.
The Team
The Investor Relations & Business Development (IR & BD) team in CIP covers all interactions with investors and business development activities from product and fund development to fundraising and investor engagement. As such the IR & BD team is involved in all aspects of the investor journey.
The Go-To-Market Team is part of the broader Investor Relations & Business Development (IR & BD) Team in CIP which today is approximately ~50 employees with diverse background across 15 nationalities. The IR & BD Team covers all interactions with investors and business development activities from product and fund development to fundraising and investor engagement. You will become part of an international and diverse team of professionals from different backgrounds, including investment banking, management consulting and law. The IR & BD team is based out of 7 offices across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
The Role
As an associate in the team, your key work areas would include:
- Conducting and synthesizing market analysis to support preparation of commercial fundraising material, e.g., renewable energy market analyses, competitor strategies and positioning, etc.
- Independently driving smaller workstreams within go-to-market fundraising process by working with internal stakeholders, e.g., collaborating with ESG and Investment Teams to derive sustainability impact
- Creation of materials for investor events and meetings
- Proactive market intelligence to remain up to date on latest trends and news
- Selected strategy projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders, e.g., ESG, financial planning, investment teams etc.
You
We expect that you have 1-2 years of relevant experience, ideally from a top-tier management consulting or private equity firm, investment bank, and/or a strategy/financing/business development role in a corporation.
The ideal candidate:
- Has an analytical and structured mindset to make clear recommendations from research
- Delivers high quality output with attention to details, shows self-motivation and willingness to learn
- Thrives in a dynamic environment with ability to work independently and within tight timelines
- Demonstrates good communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new ways of working with many different stakeholders
- Has excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, and ability to present analysis and solutions to complex problems in a precise manner
- Demonstrates resilience in managing tasks at a fast-pace and meeting tight deadlines
- Has strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Has high academic achievements and interest in strategy, project management, and renewable energy.
