ESG Analyst, Finance

We are currently seeking an ESG Analyst to join our Finance Department, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing sustainability transparency and delivering on our reporting requirements.

Boost our team
You will be part of a small ESG team, working closely with colleagues across our international offices, including locations in Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and the US. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, take ownership of key projects and drive meaningful change.

The team covers the entire data, compliance, analysis, and reporting side of the ESG area and hence, reaches broadly into ESG, CSRD/ESRS, EU taxonomy, TCFD. In short, we, and you, have to excel where numbers, analysis, systems, and compliance meet sustainability.

You will report to the Head of ESG in our Finance Department, located in our office in Hellerup.

The position may include few travelling-days per year to different Bavarian Nordic sites, including Kvistgaard (DK), Münich (GE), Bern (CH) or the US.

This is how you impact our organization
As an ESG Analyst, you will work on a wide range of tasks that blend finance expertise with sustainability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our ESG data and reporting processes, collaborating across departments and sites to drive transparency and compliance.

Your tasks will primarily include:

  • Collaborating globally: work with stakeholders internationally across sites and departments to provide accurate and timely data for ESG reporting purposes
  • Data collection and management: ensure data quality and documentation in compliance with external standards covering environmental, social, and/or governance metrics
  • Reporting and analysis: contribute and support the preparation of external integrated annual and quarterly reports
  • Audit and compliance: interact with external providers and provide documentation for auditors
  • ESG business partnering: support stakeholders with ESG-related insights and improve decision-making

Who are you?
The ideal candidate possesses a high level of attention to detail, strong stakeholder management skills, a growth-mindset and the ability to build relationships and trust across the organization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A relevant master’s degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a finance-related role (analyst, controlling, consulting or auditing)
  • Knowledge of ESG regulations such as ESRS, CSRD, EU Taxonomy or TCFD
