The role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key member of our Global Finance team, with a focus on supporting our operations in Hungary. While collaborating with colleagues across Europe, your responsibilities will be specifically tailored to our business in Hungary. Fluency in Hungarian is essential, along with a strong understanding of Hungary’s financial regulations.
Your responsibilities
- Processing accounting data into the company’s accounting system, including booking expenses, hours, invoices, intercompany (IC) sales invoices, protocols, etc., in NAV Dynamics and HU system.
- Reconciling G/L accounts and performing IC reconciliation.
- Receiving and validating timesheets for travel and other expenses.
- Updating information on rotation and pre-calculation of payroll.
- Preparing Payroll for HU and NON-HU employees
- Reporting Payroll to Recipient Countries in accordance with deadlines
- Reconciling with customers and working with outstanding invoices.
- Working with online banking systems and bank statements WISE
- Creating and validating external and internal projects in NAV Dynamics.
- Preparing supporting report files in Excel and ad hoc reports.
- VAT preparing and submission to local Hungarian government Financial
- Monthly reporting to the parent entity located in Denmark
- Preparing budgets and participating in forecasting reports.
- Preparing Yearly Financial TAX Declaration and Statements of the Hungarian company Submitting local Declarations and reports regarding Hungarian legislations
- Assisting with external audits - local and from Group.
About you
- Excellent knowledge of Hungarian Local Financial regulations
- Proficiency in Hungarian (B2-C1 level).
- University degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Affinity for and knowledge of GAAP principles and reporting.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting.
- Excellent computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in English
It would be considered as an asset if you have
- Working experience with NAV Dynamics 365, SAP, and Acubiz
