Associate Tax Manager / Tax Manager - Aarhus
Arla Foods amba
Location: Viby J, DK
Are you aiming to play a significant role within an established tax division? Here is your chance to join a global organization and contribute to robust tax compliance and reporting across the entire Group.
Based at Arla’s headquarters in Aarhus, you will be integrated into the central Group Tax team as well as Arla’s larger Global Tax team, which is comprised of 14 specialists across 5 countries. You will play a pivotal role in driving progress and shaping the future capabilities of the tax department. Depending on your background and experience, the seniority level of the role will be tailored.
How you will make an impact
You will handle various tax-related tasks in a professional yet informal setting. Success means becoming a trusted business partner, using your talent for structured process management to provide guidance that ensures sound decisions, high compliance, and stakeholder support.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading Danish direct tax compliance efforts, ensuring filing requirements are met.
- Collaborating with accounting teams on tax accounting, forecasting, and reporting for Danish and Group-wide financials.
- Maintaining and improving tax governance and control frameworks, liaising with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors.
- Continuously enhancing tax controlling and reporting processes.
- Providing high-quality tax advice and acting as the first contact point for various tax matters independently.
What makes you successful?
You're ready to apply your direct tax and tax accounting knowledge in a large, global organisation. Ideally, you:
- Hold a master’s degree in accounting, tax, finance, or a related field.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in-house or in consulting (tax/audit).
- Possess strong knowledge of Danish corporate income tax compliance, tax accounting, and preferably international corporate taxation.
- Are fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
- Enjoy using digital tools/systems and are willing to learn more; experience with SAP or other financial reporting systems is a plus.
We're looking for team players with excellent communication skills. Your curiosity and growth mindset will promote continuous learning and questioning of the status quo. A structured approach to tasks ensures effective prioritisation and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
What do we offer?
Alongside providing an engaging professional tax career opportunity, we place a strong emphasis on mental health, flexible working arrangements, and work-life balance, with the option to work from home. Additionally, you will be part of a global organisation with colleagues from various regions around the world.
