As a developer at MapsPeople you have influence on your own tasks as well as the product we deliver to our customers. In the Product & Engineering department you have an impact on everyday decision making.
You will join a team of backend developers focusing on API development & integrations. As part of this team you will share the responsibility for the server side and database tasks, serving high performance web- and mobile applications. Including core offerings like search and routing.
The server side tasks includes:
- Development of customer facing APIs
- Development of integrations to other platforms
- Development of scalable, reusable and robust complex distributed solutions that are easy to maintain and easy to operate
- Development of server side and database solutions
- Development of cloud based solutions
- Unit test, integration test and documentation
- Indoor wayfinding algorithms
- Geo-spacial algorithms
Your profile:
You hold a relevant degree within SW development and 5+ years experience with backend technologies, preferably in .NET.
You are also familiar or have worked with following technologies:
- C# and .NET
- REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- OpenId Connect
- MongoDB and/or SQL ala PostgreSQL databases
- Docker, Kubernetes, GCP
- Agile development methods and tools (GitOps, Jira, GitLab, Slack)
Additionally, any knowledge of or experience with SaaS solutions and Python is an advantage.

This position is located in our headquarters in Aalborg where our office space has a beautiful first row view of the Limfjord. Between the desks, lots of leafy green plants, and modern and creative decor you will find great activities such as foosball or table tennis for when you need a break.
