Our planners play a pivotal role in delivering operational, processual, and strategic solutions across various projects. You will join the project management consultancy team within COWI's Buildings & Industry division in Lyngby in this position. The team consists of 30 people with different backgrounds who provide legal and technical client consultancy to private and public customers in Denmark and abroad. Over the past few years, COWI's project management consultancy has expanded considerably, and we have seen an increasing demand for professional management and planning from the earliest phases. During the projects, the various professions work closely together. By applying value engineering, we ensure maximum value to the customer within the given frame. We are therefore on the lookout for a planner with an interest in the professional development of planning services.
In this role, you will refer to the Head of Discipline, Project Management Consultancy but your central focus area will be the projects. You will solve most of your projects in close collaboration with the project team and a close dialogue with the customers and business partners. However, there will also be projects that you will solve independently for the customers.
Your key activities will be:
- Project Planning across multiple levels: operational, processual, and strategic.
- Liaise with planners across our offices around the world.
- Develop and manage schedules for small and large-scale, complex projects at various stages, ensuring continuous follow-up.
- Evaluate schedules from other parties, including design, tender, and execution programs.
- Conduct progress-, sensitivity- and interim analyses, including monthly reporting.
- Contribute to the development of existing and new planning services.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is a collaborative mindset, respect for others, and a strong commitment to delivering on promises. Adaptability and a drive for improvement are also key factors to succeeding.
On top of that, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years experience in project planning and management.
- Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field, e.g. Civil Engineering, Project Management, or Urban Planning. A Master’s degree is not required, but advantageous.
- Proficiency in digital project planning tools such as Microsoft Project – our primary tool. Knowledge of and experience with Primavera P6 or equal can be advantageous.
- Excellent communicative skills, with knowledge of how to convey the results of analyses to clients.
- Strong analytical skills, and ability to effectively manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English – preferably also in Danish.
Knowledge of – and experience within - the Danish building industry and regulations hereof is seen as a big advantage.
What we offer at COWI:
- The opportunity to work on innovative and impactful projects.
- A commitment to sustainability and a fossil-free future.
- A culture of belonging, growth, and fun.
- Flexible working options to support work-life balance.
