Be a key driver of our future data platform
We are looking for a curious, talented, and motivated Data Developer. Do you have experience in developing efficient and coherent data-driven solutions? Are you excited by the potential of becoming part of a team that drives the design and development of the future enterprise data solutions of FOSS and fostering an analytics culture?
Our team vision is to ensure Trust, Transparency and Availability in business data used across the FOSS organization. To do this, we work as a trusted business partner together with many teams across the organization.
We are in the process of implementing our future data platform – and we have recently chosen Microsoft Fabric as a foundation technology for our digital journey. We have started this journey by emphasizing on our two main data sources- SAP and Salesforce.

You will work on-site in our innovation campus in Hillerød, where you together with the Data Excellence team will move the Business Intelligence initiative within FOSS to the next level. You will be part of a team consisting of 16 dedicated and experienced colleagues. People who are focused on data and processes and are always ready to help and share their insights.

The job
Our business data is our asset. We need to get the most value from our data, and this is where your role as Data Developer plays in. You will from the very start be working on implementing our future data warehouse as we are currently building the foundations of the data platform.

Overall, you will work with:

• Design, develop and maintain data models and governed Business Intelligence solutions that meet the needs of the business
• Give hands-on assistance in our data platform project which is focusing on the entire platform from extracting data from the source systems to preparing it and finally presenting it to the business
• Further strengthen the analytics culture in the FOSS organization including training and supporting business users
• Extract more insight from our business data

More precisely, your daily tasks will include:

• Developing and managing Power BI reports
• Designing and updating semantic models
• Participating in data-driven project initiatives
• Gathering and analyzing data requirements across the organization
• Participate in the development of our data pipelines

Are you an ambitious, curious, and technically skilled specialist with a result-oriented mindset?
We are looking for a mix of technical and front-end competencies and a person who enjoys and seeks close collaboration with the business. We expect you to be a team player with a high drive and passion for what you do. You hold a relevant university degree (for example in computer or data science, economics, business administration, mathematics) and have 2-3 years of experience in a technical data role, where you have been developing data solutions and solving business problems with data. Consultancy experience is also very valuable for us.

• You are a motivated and engaged Data Developer, who can understand business needs and translate them into data solutions
• In the back-end of the platform we use Python, PySpark, PySql and T-SQL to transform data and build data models, so knowledge and or willingness to learn and excel in these languages is a requirement
• You seek and employ best practices in your work
• You can communicate in English and do so equally well with both business and IT functions
• You have some experience working with Microsoft’s Azure stack. We use Azure DevOps, OneLake, Azure Data Factory, GIT in ADO Repos
• More technical experience with Power BI would be considered as a major advantage
• You might have experience of working with SAP and Salesforce data, but it is more important that you can understand, transform and model said data
