QHSE Sustainability and Safety Specialist

Welcome to QHSE Region Americas
You’ll be part of the QHSE Americas Business Excellence team where you, together with your highly skilled colleagues ensure workplace safety and sustainability. You’ll work closely with Facilities Management, Global Real Estate and Workplace Management teams to lead the maintenance of a management system based on ISO 45001 and 14001. You’ll create and implement HSE policies and guidelines for the regional offices and facilities, establish responsible sourcing programs and oversee implementation of our global sustainability programs. As a team, we foster a QHSE culture of continuous improvement supporting our operations and in the Region Americas.
You’ll play an important role in:
- ensuring that our QHSE management system ‘Way We Work’ is being utilized in our Facilities Management (FM) organization
- identifying focus areas and developing initiatives to continuously improve the Sustainability & Safety culture and performance within our FM organization
- drive the annual risk reviews process for FM and ensure corrective actions are developed and carried out.
- engaging with facility managers, staff, key suppliers, and contractors to deliver sustainability and safety training programs, sharing of best practices, and lessons learned
- identifying and monitor HSE legal compliance requirements in the company’s legal register system and address areas of non-compliance or where regulatory changes impact existing work practices in FM
- collaborating with our QHSE excellence centers and QHSE departments across the business to create and align policies, reporting, training programs etc.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in an occupational safety management, sustainability, or related field
- have extensive, relevant experience in Health Safety and Environmental regulation
- experience in Workplace Sustainability and Facility Management
- experienced & Qualified internal or lead auditor (14001 & 45001)
- have experience from a similar position in the renewables or power generation sector
- have excellent communication skills, communicating smoothly and efficiently to stakeholders at all organizational levels, internally and externally
