We are looking for a Senior System Verification Engineer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work with different systems, test and expand your knowledges through various interesting tasks. Become a part of professional and skilled team.
Over 60 years ago, Hitachi Energy introduced a new way of transmitting electricity across long distances with minimum losses – High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC). HVDC technology can now deliver up to 12 gigawatts of power at voltage levels of up to 1,100 kV, covering distances of more than 3,000 kilometers.
You will contribute significantly to successful results in the heart of HVDC station: Modular Advanced Control for HVDC (MACH™). The MACH™ control system provides unequalled calculation capacity and enables a high degree of integration and handling for all control and protection functions. Moreover, MACH™ control provides advanced fault registration and remote-control functions. The system is designed to run 24/7 for thirty years or more, allowing the HVDC system to be controlled and protected in the most reliable way throughout its lifetime.
As a part of global R&D organization you will cooperate on daily basis with colleagues from MACH teams in Sweden, Poland and India. Working under SAFe framework you will develop further your skills and contribute into development of next generations of MACH™ system. You are going to work in the team lead by Marcus Bergblomma.
Your responsibilities:
- Working with Embedded real time systems, prepare test environments, test codes and test applications based on system requirements, system implementation proposals and international standards.
- Test Environment is to be created with the components of MACH Control System in the Test Lab Facility, with Computers, Servers, Input - Output Boards and Simulation Environments.
- Write Test Cases / Scenarios for verifying the functionalities of the Control System like Communication, Analog and Digital Acquisitions etc.
- Execution of Test Cases, for various software and hardware releases using the developed test cases in the test lab.
- Mapping test cases according to system requirements
- Develop and document test framework and software tools allowing testers to define automated tests to run in lab test setups.
- Propose design and behavior of new or improved test automation functions to be used by testers and develop, test, and document them. Function type examples: controlling instruments/equipment, loading software, evaluating data.
- Automate tests wherever possible using our test automation framework and maintain.
- Lead or share other responsibilities that are specific to the system verification team. Examples include lab maintenance, license management, customer support etc.
Your background:
- You hold a Bachelor or Master degree of Science in Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering, or another related field, or have equivalent experience.
- An ISTQB certification, SSDLC certification, knowledge of software and/or hardware testing as well as 5 or more years of experience from embedded system development or testing will be to your advantage.
- Knowledge of graphical programming tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB Simulink, LT spice, Hidraw, MACH platform.
- Experience in working with large modular systems similar to our MACH Product.
- Working with Agile framework and Git is considered a plus.
- You are an experienced software developer programming in Python and C#. Competent in object-oriented design, especially experience of SOLID object-oriented design principles will be to your advantage.
- Proficiency in English is a must while Swedish is an added advantage.
