Sustainable Digitalisation Research Centre. Digitalization affects all areas of society and often contributes to important advancements. However, we are also seeing adverse developments that in different ways are related to digitalization, e.g., attacks on critical infrastructure, digital divides, and climate change. To address the complex challenges of digitalization two overarching research questions are studied within the Sustainable Digitalisation Research Centre (SDRC): (1) How can the possibilities of digitalization be realized in a sustainable way, i.e. how the digitalization itself can be made more sustainable, including being socially responsible, use-friendly, and resource-efficient? (2) How can digitalization be leveraged to make society more sustainable, mainly in five areas: health, education, transport, energy, and everyday living? The research is typically conducted in collaboration with different societal stakeholders including industry and public organizations. SDRC builds upon and replaces the well-established Internet of Things and People research center. More information is available here: Link
