Your Mission
As the Website Experience Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Mercell's website is not just functional but is an engaging and powerful tool for business growth. You’ll take the lead in driving projects aimed at improving the website’s performance, optimising user experience, and ensuring the site supports our marketing objectives. This includes working closely with the marketing team to identify opportunities, take proactive action, and deliver creative solutions that enhance user engagement and conversion rates. You’ll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas and make a real impact on our digital presence.
Core Responsibilities
- Website Ownership and Management: Take full ownership of Mercell’s website, ensuring it is up-to-date, visually appealing, and aligned with our brand identity, while maintaining a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Content and Technical Delivery: Manage all content-related and technical aspects of the website, including collaboration with our digital agency and internal stakeholders, and oversight of compliance, tracking, and website-related tech stack, such as our cookie management platform and Google Tag Manager.
- Performance Optimization and SEO: Optimize website performance and identify areas for improvement and implement creative solutions that enhance user engagement and conversions, while ensuring we rank well in search engines and attract relevant traffic.
- Data-Driven Improvements: Monitor analytics and user behavior, and implement A/B testing to identify trends and track KPIs, enabling data-driven improvements to enhance functionality, user flow, and conversion rates.
- Innovation and Trend Adoption: Stay on top of the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices, continuously suggesting and implementing innovative ideas to keep Mercell’s website competitive, engaging and ahead of the curve.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for websites, with a creative mindset and a strong sense of design and user experience.
- Proven experience in website management, ideally in a marketing team or a similar role.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SEO best practices.
- Ability to analyse data from Google Analytics, heat maps, and other tools to track performance and suggest improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proactive attitude and eager to take initiative and propose creative solutions.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Extraordinary attention to detail.
