Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced colleague to lead our commercial training function for the health & medical business area as Global Commercial Training Director. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in driving profitable growth for our business by developing the commercial capabilities of our sales & marketing teams.
About the Role
The Global Commercial Training Director will be responsible for developing and implementing the commercial training strategy for the health & medical business area. This will entail:
- Conducting needs analysis, addressing the most critical commercial capability gaps, and overseeing the delivery of impactful training programs, defining and monitoring clear KPI´s to track progress and measure impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams to enhance sales capabilities and deliver measurable returns on investment
- Securing skilled local trainers and facilitators to plan and deliver global programs in the local markets
- Ensure a seamless handover as the current director transitions into retirement, building on a strong foundation of success
Location: It’s a hybrid role it can be based in any of the large Essity offices in Europe
What You Will Do
- Continue to drive and implement the global commercial training strategy to align with business goals deliver on the strategic aims of: ‘efficient & effective commercial execution’ and ‘high performing teams
- Develop complete commercial capability development solutions that are engaging, scalable, and effective, whether delivered digitally, in-person, remotely or a combination of these channels
- Analyze skill gaps to identify the most commercially critical training needs and create development plans tailored to the Sales team and other relevant roles
- Manage globally and regionally aligned sales training programs, ensuring they are impactful and deliver clear returns on investment. Based on feedback an input from local markets and other key stakeholders
- Contribute to eLearning and blended learning programs while overseeing all learning activities, curriculum design, and training resources.
- Use our different systems, e g CRM, Learning Compass and new learning technologies to create an intuitive and user-friendly learning experience
- Manage HM Way of Leading Sales concept for Sales leaders, deliver development program and do regular updates to have a best-in-class program
- Recommend and integrate innovative and effective training methods, such as e-learning, AI-based tools and game-based platforms
- Develop KPIs to track progress and measure impact and value of the programs, adjust strategies as needed, and manage quarterly and annual training budgets effectively
Who You Are
You bring extensive leadership experience with:
- A strong ability to unite multicultural teams and drive measurable results
- Expertise in commercial training or adult learning, complemented by experience in the healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences industries
- Proven, solid leadership and leading others experience
- A proven track record of aligning training strategies with business objectives and delivering programs that demonstrate clear value
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Resilience and adaptability, allowing you to overcome challenges and maintain focus under pressure
- Fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous)
- Flexibility to travel as required, while being based in Europe
