Overview
Do you want to create cohesion and keep track of processes? Then you have the chance to become part of Cook Medical and get a project management role in Production Improvement, where you primarily work with project management or as an SME in connection with the introduction of new production equipment, plants and processes.
You will be part of the Process Improvement group, which consists of engineers or technicians who are working to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing process on products with regulatory approval.
The role of a Project Engineer requires strong technical expertise, proficiency in CAD software, and the ability to structure information and documentation effectively. These projects integrate traditional engineering disciplines with hands-on technical problem-solving, all within close collaboration with Production, Production Support, and Test & Validation teams. Your primary focus will be to ensure seamless communication between external suppliers and internal stakeholders, while leveraging your CAD skills to contribute to design and engineering tasks. This role demands both technical proficiency and project oversight to drive the successful development and introduction of our medical equipment, ensuring that doctors and hospitals worldwide can confidently use our equipment to deliver effective patient care. The job requires a high degree of methodology and independence, and that you work dedicatedly to solve the specific task in close collaboration with the project team.
Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will:
- Lead projects from start to finish to implement new equipment in production.
- Utilize CAD skills to contribute to the development and construction of products, tools, and processes, ensuring technical feasibility and precision.
- Prepare and oversee smooth transfer processes, including handovers to the Test & Validation department and between Production Support and Production.
- Create and maintain the necessary documentation to support the transfer process and ensure compliance.
- Actively participate in product, tool, and process development, raising technical concerns in a timely and constructive manner.
- Ensure project deliverables are met in line with schedules, maintaining a strong focus on meeting deadlines and achieving milestones.
You thrive in a dynamic environment with many interfaces and excel at taking on a broad role, participating in all phases of projects—from identifying needs and defining ideas to development, testing, transfer, and handover.
You bring a practical, structured, and analytical approach to your tasks, with a keen sense of quality and attention to detail. You are motivated by documenting your work in compliance with regulatory requirements and take pride in meeting goals and deadlines.
Collaboration and cross-functional understanding are essential in this role. Your social intelligence, combined with curiosity and openness, enables you to communicate effectively with team members and other professional groups.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant educational background, such as production technologist, mechanical engineer, production engineer, biomedical engineer, or marine engineer.
- Possesses strong documentation skills and a solid understanding of technical drawings, including CAD.
- Has experience with project management; knowledge of validation processes is an advantage.
- Brings at least a couple of years of experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to the introduction of new equipment in production.
- Has experience in regulated industries such as pharma, medical devices, food, or oil/gas.
- Is fluent in Danish and English, with English being our corporate language.
