The position
As Spring Coiling Technician, you will be working with spring coiling lines used to produce metal springs in our unit and at our Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMO’s).
You will collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to bring in valuable insights and requirements from an operational point of view. Upon finalisation of the development and validation phase you will:
- Participate in requirement definition, design of new equipment, design reviews and acceptance testing.
- Carry out testing and qualification of new equipment internally and at CMO’s.
- Perform systematic problem-solving, troubleshooting and repairs during break-downs.
- Develop operational procedures and instructions, and service and maintenance plans in close collaboration with equipment suppliers and equipment owner.
- Monitor operational performance of the equipment based on data and ensure that the validated state is maintained.
- Identify and implement improvement and help transfer process knowledge to CMO’s.

Qualifications
To be a succesfull candidate for the role you shall have the following competencies:
- An education as automation technician, process technologist, or equivalent technical education.
- Spring coiling experience from any industry.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting automatic manufacturing systems.
- Competencies in mechanical, electrical, automation, and control are seen as a great advantage.
- Experience with process optimisation, equipment design, and operational procedures is beneficial for this position.
- Experience with equipment qualification according to GMP is desirable.
- Proficient user of both spoken and written English.

About the department
Finished Product Manufacturing Science & Technology (FPMSAT) is responsible for the manufacturing development of all devices and packaging related processes. We explore new technologies, including robotics, for future production and operate a production unit for clinical production and process optimization. We take great pride in our diverse and talented team, where over 700 dedicated employees from more than 48 different nationalities work together to achieve our goals and drive change.
You will be joining a team of highly skilled colleagues in an international environment in Novo Nordisk FPMSAT facility in Hillerød. In close collaboration with our suppliers, we are developing the equipment and processes that transform great designs into actual products for our patients, bridging the gap between development departments and the production lines.
