About the team and role
We are looking for a Design Validation and Usability Specialist to join our System Integration team. In this position you will work with the development of 3Shape scanner systems, a combination of hardware and software in the medical device domain. The devices are used in the dental industry.
For this role, we are looking for an experienced profile, You will in your daily work be allocated to development projects but will also work on general system development and systems integration tasks such as streamlining processes within the department.
In a normal workday you will collaborate with a variety of different colleagues to develop optical scanner systems.
You will be part of the System Integration group covering design verification and validation, usability, risk management and life cycle management. The team currently has 7 people.
Your Responsibilities
As Design Validation and Usability Specialist you will be part of the entire process of design validation and usability and have direct contact with the actual users of our products.
You will be responsible for design validation tasks in various development projects. This means that you will plan, conduct and report on design validation - including implementing the actual user tests required in the various development projects. You will do this in close collaboration with your team members, the project members and our internal dental experts.
You will also be responsible for some of our usability activities together with our current usability specialist. Together you will facilitate the process from planning via execution to reporting.
Requirements
- Experience working in medical device development
- Experience working with design control per ISO 13485 and 21 CFR part 820
- Experience with conducting user tests such as usability testing in accordance with ISO/IEC 62366 or design validation
- Knowledge of ISO 14971
