We are looking for a new colleague to join our Electrical & Instrumentation team in Technical Engineering & Maintenance at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies in Hillerød, Denmark.

About the position
The purpose of this role is to provide engineering, technical, and hands-on support for the Instrumentation & Controls area. You will coordinate Instrumentation & Control projects within maintenance and act as Responsible Engineer (RE) and owner in investment projects managed by the Project Engineering team. The job requires presence at the Hillerød site daily.

Tasks as Responsible Engineer (RE) for Instrumentation & Controls

Strategic

  • Strategic perspective supporting the optimization of the calibration process
  • Focus on using instrument technology and risk assessment (GMP)
  • Has industry knowledge and embraces industry standards Operational I&C Operational support
  • Familiar with bus protocols in stand-alone systems
  • Alignment with Aveva team in BMS/VDS Utility Automation
  • Supports functional safety/emergency stop philosophy
  • Support planning and execution of I&C works and work orders
  • Support with hands-on troubleshooting and fault-finding on complex equipment failure and perform root cause analysis to ensure a reliable system

Projects

  • Responsible for management of documentation and standards Design, update, manage, and maintain the Instrumentation & Controls
  • Initiate and manage I&C projects within Technical Operation & Maintenance
  • Participate in investment projects as owner representative Instrument support to utility systems
  • Black utility, water pretreatment, waste neutralization, clean utilities, HVAC, clean steam boilers, compressors, central cooling & heating systems, cold & freezer rooms, sprinkler & fire protection, electrical distribution

Qualifications
Professional skills:

  • You have a technical engineering degree, Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Instrumentation & Control Engineer with hands-on experience
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred
  • Utility automation experience in the control system is preferred
  • Knowledge about Instrumentation & Controls standards
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Danish at a business level
  • Experience with projects and production

About the Team and the Department
The Electrical & Instrumentation team consists of 8 engineers who provide technical support for all Plant Utilities and production equipment, such as the instrumentation in aseptic production areas and utility instrumentation areas. Manage the bus interface to DCS systems, traditional I/O bus interface, and maintain the daily operating foundation fieldbus system for the instruments used in our 24/7 production.

The team also manages the electrical distribution system in the high- & low-voltage area, the emergency generators, UPS Systems, DC-Systems, motor control centers, frequency drives, etc.

The team develops and implements maintenance metrics and strategies to avoid unplanned downtime. Moreover, they optimize and simplify corrective and preventative maintenance concepts.

They manage specifications and provide engineering support to operations.
